IFAD, the UN Office of the Special Adviser for Africa and the World Bank are hosting the Global Forum on Remittances, Investment and Development (GFRID) Summit 2023

The summit aims to improve understanding of migrant and diaspora contributions to development, impacts on national and global policies, and market opportunities for service providers in both remittance and investment ecosystems.

The summit will focus on sharing practical mechanisms and models to boost achievement of the SDGs in light of the upcoming dedicated Summit in September this year. Further, it will explore innovations to implement the Global Compact for Migration. Around 500 delegates from public and private sector, and the civil society, are expected to join, both from Africa and globally.
